Meet, have fun, share ideas, and look into the future of trauma, resuscitation and emergency medicine.

Following the success from 2005, it is an honour and pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd Scandinavian Update on trauma, resuscitation and emergency medicine in Stavanger, May 24-26 2007. Once again the Scientific- and Organising Committees welcomes you to join us and meet your colleagues as well as the experts in your field of interest.

The Formula of Survival (The ILCOR Advisory Statement on Education in Resuscitation (table 1: Theoretical model of factors in patient outcome). Resuscitation 2003; 59: 11-43) illustrates how the interaction between medical science, educational efficiency and local organisation does affect outcome. Scandinavian Update on trauma, resuscitation and emergency medicine will focus on the Formula of Survival. We do hope Scandinavian Update will become the meeting point for all Scandinavian doctors, nurses and paramedics involved with saving lives inside and outside the hospital.

Interactive program.
There will be pro-con debates, round-table discussions, hands-on workshops, learning centre, and Stand-up Science. Along with you, there is a good mixture of international and Scandinavian guests in the multi-speciality faculty.

Workshops on Ultrasound, ECCOcardiography, new CAT and angiographic technology.

Case presentation and controversial decisions with interactive voting system

The conference venue is the Clarion Hotel Stavanger, close to the inner harbour in the charming city centre of Stavanger, not far from the famous Lysefjorden and Preikestolen/The Pulpit Rock.

Don't miss this opportunity to take part in the development of trauma, resuscitation and emergency medicine in Scandinavia.
