Stand-up Science
|
 |
On Thursday evening at 21.00, the venue switches to the Conference bar "Hall Toll" - for an informal session with scientific presentations. Each presenter will be given just four minutes to outline their research, and with nothing more than a flip-chart helping them getting their message through to the audience before the Moderator blows his "time-out" signal. The participants will range from medical students to experienced clinicians, and they have to convince both a panel of experts and the audience that their research project is worth listening to. The expert panel will put the presenters under gentle pressure to ensure an entertaining as well as educational evening. The debates will continue well into the evening in the bars and restaurants of Stavanger! Please, join this event that has been such a success at previous Scandinavian Update meetings, as well during the recent London Trauma Conference.
Take the challenge and submit your paper to faculty@scandinavian-update.org
Abstract submission deadline is February 1 2009

Discover why the National Geographic Traveller recently ranked Norwegian fjords as the number one travelling destination in the world, and why Stavanger was chosen the European Cultural Capital for 2008.
Stavanger is located at the South-Western coast of Norway close by the sea and just as close to fjords, forests and mountains. The nightlife in Stavanger is perhaps the best in all of Norway, and there are plenty of good restaurants that serve food for all tastes and wallets.
Join us on "Karibu", the welcome-reception in Stavanger Hall, guided trip to Utstein Abbey, Pulpit Rock hike, Stand-up Science or just meet with friends and colleagies at the Conference Pub "Hall Toll"
