Stand-up Science
On Thursday evening the venue will switch to the conference bar for an informal session of academic presentations. Each presenter will be given just four minutes to outline their research, with nothing more than a flip chart. The participants will range from medical students to consultants, and they have to convince a panel of experts and a sceptical audience that their research project was worth listening to. The expert panel will put the presenters under pressure to ensure it will be an entertaining as well as educational evening. The debates will continue well into the evening in the bars and restaurants of Stavanger!
